On August 29, the U-Nation Startup & Innovation Conference took place, dedicated to launching the first startup accelerator in Odesa. At the event, Kitsoft’s CEO, Oleksandr Iefremov, joined a discussion on technological trends and explained how artificial intelligence is transforming low-code platforms, specifically Kitsoft’s solution for digitalizing public services — Liquio.

The conference gathered over 240 participants, including developers, entrepreneurs, innovators, students, and tech enthusiasts. The role of innovations in Ukraine’s revival, especially AI-based technologies, was a key topic of discussion. The event also featured a startup pitch competition — the Startups Pitch Show — where 10 selected startups advanced to the U-Nation Startup Accelerator.
U-Nation Startup Accelerator is the first international startup accelerator in Southern Ukraine, supported by USAID’s UCBI (Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative) project. Its mission is to foster innovation for Ukraine’s recovery.
During the panel discussions, invited speakers shared trends in the IT industry. Oleksandr Iefremov spoke about low-code platforms, which allow the automation of processes with minimal developer involvement. This makes low-code platforms an attractive option for businesses looking to accelerate their digital transformation, reduce costs, and become more agile and innovative.

On the low-code platform for public service digitalization, Liquio, it is possible to design online services of any complexity quickly — with an average service launch time of only 1.5 months. Since the need for traditional developers is minimized on a low-code platform, the primary financial and time resources can be allocated to business analysis and designing user-friendly services.
Oleksandr also shared that for even greater efficiency, an AI assistant is being implemented in Liquio, which helps IT specialists at every stage of service development.
For instance, AI can generate code based on the technical task created by business analysts, build BPMN diagrams, and provide code suggestions based on prior context (co-pilot) for low-code developers. For QA engineers, it can generate test databases and more.
