Yaroslav Bezzubets, QA Team Lead at Kitsoft, manages seven QA engineers in the team and usually mentors over 30 young professionals every month.
In 2020, Kitsoft started cooperation with QA-Light, SkillUP and TestTeamNow training centres that teach future testers. Many years ago Yaroslav was a student himself at one of these institutions, and today he helps newcomers gain experience that they will add to their CVs.
The students studied working on various projects for the Ukrainian government, such as National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, State enterprise of sea and river transport service, then they switched to the Diia portal, which began to develop intensively.
In general, they go through the full software testing life cycle and create bug reports, and then the teacher checks the reports and sends them to the development team.
Basically, this was interface testing, i.e. students imitate the actions of ordinary users practising the testing skills acquired in the courses. It is the most effective way to check the usage of cross-browser compatibility, adaptability of the interface for mobile devices, verification of the implemented functionality in accordance with the documentation etc., — told us Yaroslav
He used to have two groups every month, up to 20 people in each. Over the past two years, about 200 QA students have already completed internships at the company. Many of them found jobs; one of the students was invited to work at Kitsoft.
